What to do

  1. Confirm the person shown was 18 or older when the intimate image was created.
  2. Review StopNCII eligibility and instructions.
  3. Use only an image or video already on your device; do not download a copy just to submit it.
  4. Keep website-removal and search-removal steps open because hash protection applies only on participating services.
  5. Continue verifying known public links and report altered or non-matching reposts separately.
Reclaim is an adults-only service. StopNCII is not a universal internet deletion tool and applies only to eligible adult cases on participating platforms.

Common questions

Does the original image leave my device?

StopNCII states that hashing occurs on the device and the underlying image or video is not uploaded to the service.

Does hashing remove every copy online?

No. Participating platforms can act on matching hashes; other websites, altered copies and search results may require separate action.

Use a coordinated case

Reclaim keeps website removal, Google/search removal, deadlines, verification and monitoring separate so one successful step is not mistaken for complete removal.
